| Vi har brukt MAY AKGH D112BD i flere basstrommer over 2 år nå og lydforbedringen er fenomenal! For at systemet skal fungere optimalt bruker vi en 5" HOLZ eller KICKPORT (kl. 4) i frontskinnet slik at skinnet kan strammes opp. MAY-systemet plasseres i overkant av hullet og mottar da alle sub-frekvenser som produseres i basstromma, og ikke kun det komprimerte lufttrykket som skal ut av hullet i front! |

| Toms
If you have a 10 or 12 inch standard or quick-tom (X08-X09) you should mount the MAY mic holder on a bolt near the bottom head. The MAY mic needs at least two to three inches to breath away from the batter head. If you have toms from X10 and deeper you should mount the MAY mike on the bolt that is on the batter side. At this point the lower bolt will be too far away from the batter head and will pick up too much noise from the bottom head. This is with specifically regard to the floor toms, and if you tune your toms with a higher pitch on the bottom head. At all time the MAY mic should be pointing to the center of the batter head pointing up. It all depends on what type of sound you want and what type of heads you are using. However this will get you easy started. |

Kick Drum One of the advantages of using the MAY Internal Drum Miking System in the kick drum is the fact that you no longer need to cut a hole in the front head. A kick drum with two whole heads produces very low frequencies that help you to get a fat sound. To dampen the drum you should use felt-strips going from 1 O’clock straight down on both heads. This will give you a dry and fat kick drum with lots of punch. The MAY mic should be placed on the lug nearest the front head pointing to the side of the beater.
